Enough Or Too Much? Dynamic Duo Delivers Again

Sean Singletary gets fouled on this second half drive and completed the traditional 3-point play.

When I hear the phrase “Dynamic Duo,” three words come to mind. Batman and Robin. These two are the epitome of a two-man squad; they help each other out and, along with Gotham’s police force, rid the city of all enemies. They became so close that they could nearly read each other’s minds and they rarely failed when defending Gotham. Because of this they are now deemed “super heroes” and after the Saturday showdown at John Paul Jones Arena between the Cavaliers and the Yellow Jackets, the Justice League most definitely has two new members.

Sean Singletary and J.R. Reynolds did more than steal the show in front of 14,564 fans. They were the show. Each of them played 10 minutes more than any other Hoo, they put up more twice as many shots as the rest of the team combined (38/17), they made more free throws than their teammates attempted, and they scored 49 out of the team’s total 75 points (65%). After scoring Virginia’s first 10 points, it was clear that Charlottesville’s own dynamic duo was going to do all they could to keep the Cavs on pace for a first round bye in the ACC Tournament.
