Deion Walker ‘s transition from playing quarterback as a sophomore (at Asheville School in North Carolina) to wide receiver and cornerback as a junior (at Christchurch School in Virginia) went very, very well. The 6-3, 180-pound prospect, a first-team all-state selection on both sides of the ball his junior year, racked up close to 50 catches for 733 yards and eight touchdowns. Defensively, he made eight interceptions including three in the state semifinal win over LCA.

College coaches have taken notice, as the talented athlete is now up to nine scholarship offers.

“UVa, Maryland, Penn State, Auburn, N.C. State, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Connecticut and Syracuse have offered,” Walker said.
