Pelion (S.C.) head football coach Ben Freeman has reason to feel proud these days. His son, Dalton Freeman , has tallied close to 20 scholarship offers. Coach Freeman is proud of his 6-6, 270-pound son, and is even prouder of the work ethic his son has displayed to get to this point.

“It is a dream come true,” Freeman said of his son’s success. “He has really worked hard and tried to make himself as good as he can be. He has a lot of self motivation, which is a great trait for him. I haven’t had to push him.”

Coach Freeman played football at Wake Forest and his other son was a kicker at Newberry College, so Dalton has grown up around the game of football. Dalton’s size and football savvy are two traits college coaches admire, but there are more reasons as to why he is a commodity.
