UVa coach Brian O’Connor has guided his team to an 8-4 ACC record thus far.

The Virginia Cavaliers improved to 8-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and 6-3 on the road in league play, taking over the top spot in the ACC’s Coastal Division with a three game sweep of the Virginia Tech Hokies in Blacksburg last weekend.

Virginia is tied with Tar Heels but own the top spot in the division early because of the Hoos series win over UNC earlier this season. Carolina owned a one game advantage but was unable to take care of business two weeks ago, losing a game to Hokies in Blacksburg.

Virginia coach Brian O’Connor says that one game edge in the respective series against the Hokies could be huge at season’s end.
