Henry Clay (Lexington, KY) star Chase Minnifield verbally committed to UVa over Louisville on May 22, 2006. The 6-0, 185-pound senior, rated by some as the top player in the state of Kentucky in 2006, had 630 yards receiving, 509 yards rushing and threw for 365 yards in his senior season. He scored 20 touchdowns on offense and was outstanding on special teams as well, as he had four kick-off returns for scores. Defensively, he earned first-team all-state at defensive back.
