Donovan Miles is one of the hottest names in the 2008 football recruiting class. The 6-1, 225-pound linebacker prospect out of Brooke Point (Stafford, VA) is four for four – he has provided only four Division 1A programs with junior tape, but all four have come back with scholarship offers.

“It’s almost like a tape recording,” Brooke Point head coach Jeff Berry said, referring to the response of college coaches to Miles’ tape. “It’s funny how they all seem to have the same eye. They know what they are looking for. The first thing that comes out to them is that Donovan is real explosive. He runs well. And when he gets to the ball, he makes an impact.”

Miles tallied 107 tackles including 20 tackles-for-loss in his junior season. It was his first season at Brooke Point, as he had transferred from West Springfield High School. Before the season started, Coach Berry was informed that the player he was getting was going to be a good one in more ways than one.
