A new name on Virginia’s offer list is Jay Hollingsworth , a 5-10, 180-pound running back prospect out of Lee County High School (Sanford, N.C.). The talented junior landed an offer from Virginia several weeks ago while on an unofficial visit to Charlottesville for a spring practice.

Hollingsworth only felt he would receive an offer from the Cavs within the last month.

“It was a slow process,” Hollingsworth said of UVa’s recruitment. “They weren’t recruiting me real heavy, but I got a few letters. I visited there a few weeks ago and then they offered. I was looking forward to getting it because Coach [Levern] Belin told me to be prepared for it.”
