Assistant Coach Rob Lanier is headed to Florida as an assistant coach.

With the news of Rob Lanier leaving UVa for Florida, Dave Leitao has a spot to fill on his staff. In all likelihood, this move will want to be done quickly with the summer recruiting and AAU circuit firing up soon.

Who should he hire? It’s hard to say really and I don’t have any inside information yet. Of course, you can come up with a few ideas based on message board chatter and by looking at certain criteria. In the cases of the names below, I followed a few brainstorming rules: Leitao connections, UVa connections, successful mid-major connections, potential recruiting connections, and good ol’ fashioned speculation.
