Zak Stair started seven games last season, making him a valuable reserve this year.

Entering the 2007 season, one thing Virginia expects is improved production on offense. One reason for that is the fact that all five starters return on the offensive line. Or should we just call it six? Zak Stair started seven games last season and he is one of the most experienced reserves on the entire roster.

And he might be one of the most important too. After all, he backs up both tackle positions and could potentially slide to the inside roles if an emergency situation arose.

“Zak can play a lot of different positions. He can play interior, he can play outside,” senior Ian-Yates Cunnigham said. “He’s got quick feet. He’s a good player. He started for us last year some games so he has experience and that’s valuable, especially to us on the line. And he brings a little bit of humor too into the line. It’s good. Just having that type of player around, you always want that type of player to help you.”
