West Potomac (Alexandria, VA) offensive lineman Jimmy Bennett has gotten most of the recruiting attention from college coaches, but another Wolverines senior is gaining serious momentum. 6-3, 180-pound wide receiver Robert Byrd has captured the attention of several ACC schools and at least one top Big East program with his play this fall.

“He is getting a lot more notice,” West Potomac head coach Eric Henderson said. “He has been pretty explosive this season and I expect him to continue that trend.”

Byrd turned in a solid season in 2006 but has really turned it on in 2007. Coach Henderson provided several reasons for the improvement.
