University of Virginia head coach Al Groh decided to extend an official scholarship offer yesterday to Fork Union Military Academy offensive lineman Austin Pasztor , who didn’t take long to accept. UVa now has its 15th verbal commitment – the fourth projected to play on the offensive line – for the 2008 recruiting class.

“He called Coach Groh about 10:45 this morning and knocked it out,” Fork Union postgraduate football head coach John Shuman said. “He told them he was coming. They’ve got another Fork Union kid.”

Pasztor chose Virginia over offers from Temple and Youngstown State as well as interest from a few other schools following a solid performance at Fork Union’s recent workout. He made an official visit to UVa this past weekend and it was all he needed to solidify his decision.
