Maryville (TN) quarterback Brent Burnette enjoyed his official visit to Virginia this past weekend, but the 6-3, 215-pound prospect still awaits word on whether or not he will have a scholarship offer. He expects to learn more later this week, but as of now nothing has been decided.

“Actually, Coach Mike Groh is going to come back later this week for an in-home visit,” Burnette said. “I spoke with Coach Al Groh as well. He said he really hasn’t had time to fully evaluate my DVD by himself. He is going to do that at the beginning of the week and then get back with me.”

Burnette’s first ever experience at UVa went very well. The Class 4A Mr. Football back selection was hosted by red-shirt freshman quarterback Marc Verica and roomed with West Florence (S.C.) punter Jimmy Howell .
