Stone Bridge (Ashburn, VA) junior defensive lineman Zach Thompson had an enjoyable weekend last weekend. On Saturday, the 6-5, 240-pound prospect attended a junior day at the University of Maryland and left College Park with an official scholarship offer. On Sunday, he traveled to Charlottesville for a junior day at UVa.

Thompson compared the two junior day experiences.

“They were pretty similar,” Thompson said. “They both talked how the football team will be. They showed highlights of last season. I saw the locker room and the equipment room at both places. They took the recruits on a tour around the campus. Maryland didn’t have a basketball game and UVa followed up with playing N.C. State, but I left right before the game because I had to get back.
