Without question, Virginia’s 67-58 ‘upset’ win over Kansas in the Midwest Region Semifinals of 1995 NCAA Tournament stands out as one of the men’s basketball program’s defining moments of the last 20 years.

“Throwing out the Ralph [Sampson] years, that [team] stands out to me as one of the best Virginia teams ever,” said former UVa coach and player Jeff Jones in a recent interview with The Sabre. “We went further than we had ever gone before and accomplished more that year than any other team that I had coached.”
