Bradley Shined This Spring

Landon Bradley turned heads this spring with his improvement at the tackle position.

When offensive lineman Landon Bradley joined Virginia’s 2007 class of signees, Sabre.com Recruiting Analyst Chris Horne pegged him as “the potential sleeper” of the class. The redshirt freshman may be on his way to proving that prognostication correct. After all, Bradley had a strong spring practice period that ended with him being named one of the Rock Weir award winners for most improved players in the spring.

Part of the reason he received that honor is his work ethic, which is turning heads inside the program. Bradley logged a lot of time at both tackle positions this spring, particularly on the left side where Eugene Monroe sat out most of the spring after shoulder surgery. Coach Al Groh said Bradley never complained about the increased workload, but embraced the situation as an opportunity to improve.
