Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL) rising senior Sean Cascarano left Charlottesville on Sunday feeling as though the University of Virginia “was the place I wanted to be.” Perhaps he would’ve committed while on the visit, but his father was back in Illinois and the 6-6, 265-pound offensive tackle wanted to get his blessing first.

“Heading into [UVa’s Top Prospect Day on Saturday], I thought Virginia was my number one school. I just wanted to see what it what was like and see if it stayed my number one school…and it did,” Cascarano said. “I wasn’t ready to make a commitment there because my dad was still in Chicago. Once I got back, we talked it over and I decided to commit. He was behind it 100-percent. He said it is a great place to go to school and the football there meets my needs.”

There wasn’t just one thing that put Virginia over the top of a solid offer list that included Arizona, Cincinnati, Colorado, Duke, Indiana and Michigan State. Virginia’s total package was what eventually sealed the deal with one of the top lineman in the state of Illinois.
