One of the top quarterbacks in the 2009 class, Scripps Ranch (San Diego, CA) star Tate Forcier boasts scholarship offers from all across the country. The list of schools being considered isn’t as large as it once was – the 6-1, 190-pound signal caller recently narrowed his choices to 20 – but that doesn’t necessarily mean the process has gotten any easier as he continues to sort through his options.

“I want to get down to 10 schools. I’ve narrowed it down to 20. That was difficult,” said Forcier, who did include Virginia as one of the final 20. “There were two or three other schools I could’ve easily thrown in there. I just had to get to 20 and cut it off. Getting down to 10 will be difficult, but there are a few schools I know will be in my top 10. They are Michigan, Penn State and Stanford. I’m not saying they are ahead of any schools, but I’ve met with the Penn State coaches several times. I go up to Stanford all the time with my brother, and I’ve been to Michigan several times. But, as of now, it’ll be difficult to get the rest of my top 10.

“I want to narrow to 10 before the season. I want to decide by mid-season, though I have not ruled out a decision beforehand if it feels right. I want to graduate early.”
