In an offseason where far too many Virginia football players got notoriety for the wrong reasons, it’s not surprising that coach Al Groh got a lot of questions at media day about discipline and leadership. One of the young men on Groh’s roster where concerns regarding behavior or a lack of discipline have never arisen, however, is Antonio Appleby .

When asked how Appleby had progressed over his three seasons at Virginia, Groh’s answer may have seemed a little bland; yet, it was very telling in describing the consistency and drive of Appleby.
