In one of the most crowded backfields in recent memory, the 2008 Cavaliers have a plethora of talented and versatile running backs. Really, we’ve got them crawling out of the woodwork.

But no one’s complaining.

Especially not senior Cedric Peerman , who is back in the mix for his senior campaign after a devastating foot injury in 2007. After the 2006 season, Peerman dedicated himself to getting back to what made him successful in high school and shaping his physique. As 2007 opened, Peerman tore the competition early, leading the ACC in rushing through five games. Peerman even demonstrated his ability to make the big play, which had been questioned, during a 58-yard run against Duke. However, in the season’s sixth game at Middle Tennessee State, Peerman was forced into surgery after injuring his foot.
