Missing six games of his junior season due to injury hurt Forest Park (Woodbridge, VA) star Brandon Scott on the recruiting front, but a terrific (and healthy) start to the 2008 season certainly could change things. Forest Park head coach Charlie Chandler is looking for a breakout season from Scott, a 6-5, 215-pound wide receiver and defensive end.

“I expect Brandon to have a great season,” Chandler said. “He is flying under the radar. I don’t get too caught up in the rankings, but he was ranked highly and now has dropped off. I think he likes that. We had a goal meeting and he talked about one of his goals being to live up to the hype. He had a great off-season. He had good showings in 7-on-7. He’ll be playing more defensive end this season and he is real excited about that.

“He has the one offer from Elon, but he is still in contact with Division 1 level schools. They are waiting for the first time he sends them senior film.”
