Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA) defensive end Will Hill told TheSabre.com earlier this summer that Virginia had slowed its communication. The 6-4, 260-pound prospect was in Charlottesville last Saturday, however, and it seems as though he is still on the staff’s recruiting radar.

“I talked to all of [the Virginia coaches]. Primarily, I talked to my recruiter, Coach Pruett, and Coach Belin and Coach [Al] Groh and Coach Lineburg,” Hill said. “Coach Belin talked about the defensive end position and how they need guys to step in early and compete. I talked to Coach Pruett and he said that next time they play USC they’ll be leaning on the guys they sign here and I could be one of them.”

Hill adds that Saturday’s loss to USC had no negative impact on his opinion of Virginia.
