Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) wide receiver Tim Smith has made his college decision. This morning, the 6-1, 190-pound senior gave his pledge to the University of Virginia, choosing the Cavaliers over Louisville and West Virginia, among others.

“He has committed to Virginia,” Oscar Smith head coach Rich Morgan said. “We just got off the phone with their coaches. He talked with all of them and they were pretty ecstatic.”

Coach Morgan called Smith an “electric” prospect prior to the 2008 season and that description has certainly proven to be accurate. In nine games (and nine Oscar Smith wins), Smith has tallied 42 receptions for over 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has also returned three kick-offs for scores.
