Slotting The 2009 Signees

Ah, my favorite topic of conversation: the slotting of players. The science – really, the art – of figuring out how to get the most out of a player over the course of his career by looking not only at the player he is today but projecting the player he will be tomorrow. An opportunity to dream about what is to come.

Oday Aboushi – Offensive Tackle

While a lot of fans are penciling in Morgan Moses at left tackle for next season (should he qualify), Oday Aboushi is a very talented line prospect that could work his way onto the field just as fast. And if you are looking for someone that could follow the Eugene Monroe path to starting at tackle, Aboushi – a right guard for much of his time in high school – might be the guy. In the end, I would not be surprised to see Aboushi end up as Will Barker ‘s replacement at right tackle.
