With offers from Boston College, Connecticut, Penn State, Rutgers, Stanford and Virginia, and interest from Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas and UCLA, King & Low-Heywood (CT) junior running back Silas Redd is emerging as one of the most highly recruited prospects in the Northeast. The 5-10, 190-pound prospect considered making an early commitment but has decided against doing so and does not plan to make a college decision for quite some time.

“I thought I was set, but I really took some time to think about it. This really is a 40-year decision more than just a 4-year decision, so I’m going to make sure I make the best choice,” said Redd, who added that he “definitely” will take all five official visits before making a commitment.
