Sherando (Stephens City, VA) quarterback Ross Metheny , one of 24 high school seniors to sign with the University of Virginia in the 2009 class, traveled to Charlottesville earlier this week and returned home with some very good news.
“Actually, [Monday], I was down in Charlottesville. I had a doctor’s appointment to check on my knee and my doctor gave me the green light to do normal activity,” said the 6-3, 190-pound senior, whose senior season was ended prematurely because of a torn ACL. “I’m 100 percent. I can be a football player again.”
