Chris Cook returns to further solidify a strong secondary this season.

Make no mistake about it, after losing a plethora of battle-tested veterans, the Virginia defense has a lot of question marks for the upcoming season. Anchoring this side of the ball, however, is a very strong group of proven stoppers in the secondary.

This year’s secondary features a triple threat to opposing offenses: depth, experience and talent. Most units are doing well to have one or even two of these qualities but as it’s shaping up right now, Virginia’s secondary combinations will be able to expose opponent’s weaknesses in a variety of ways.
