Four Downs 2009 – Better Reception?

With graduation in the rearview mirror and only a handful of Cavalier teams still playing, the long wait to football season is about to slow to a crawl. But don’t fret Hoo fans, The Sabre has you covered. Dontrelle Inman

Find Dontrelle Inman . I remember fall training camp of Dontrelle Inman ‘s freshman year. He was the talk of camp, catching anything in his neighborhood, flashing speed, and running good routes. He had a good story too – a rise in recruiting after a strong junior year playoffs and UVa sticking with him after an LCL injury shortened his senior season.

Inman immediately found a way to contribute that fall by hauling in 17 receptions, which tied for second among receivers that season. Entering the 2008 season, it seemed like big things were possible for Inman with some spread sets on offense and strong-armed quarterback (and close recruiting class friend) Peter Lalich at QB. Even JHoo suggested that Inman’s potential was exciting:
