Odom Feeling Better Since NBAPA Camp

Rod Odom Jr. ‘s Recruiting Card

6’8.5″, 205-pound rising senior guard/forward Rod Odom Jr. admits to not feeling 100 percent at the beginning of the summer, something that he feels hindered his performance at the NBAPA Top 100 Camp at the John Paul Jones Arena. The Middlesex School (Concord, MA) standout has been feeling better, though, and feels good about recent results on the AAU circuit.

“I started off the summer a little sick,” Odom said. “I wasn’t able to get out to some of the camps. I don’t think I played well in the NBA Camp, but I was not 100 percent. The past couple of tournaments, like one I played in last week, I think I’ve played well. I definitely think I could play better, but I thought I played well and was aggressive. I did well for myself.”

Arizona, Arkansas, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Providence, Rutgers and West Virginia have offered Odom, who is also being recruited by Stanford and Virginia, among others. UVa has not yet offered but is evaluating the promising prospect.
