Lamar Milstead hopes to see a few snaps in his sophomore season.

Ask backup right tackle Lamar Milstead how he’s changed since high school, and he’ll give a simple, yet telling, answer: “I grew up.”

His first year at UVa, he found himself in a world of trouble. He didn’t see the point to football practice. His grades slipped to the point that he was put on academic probation. He stopped going to class altogether.
