Since a 16-14 loss to Kecoughtan in its season opener, the Bethel Bruins (Hampton, VA) have reeled off four straight wins. Its defense, led by University of Virginia cornerback recruit Rijo Walker , has surrendered only seven points since opening week. Walker, a 5-10, 175-pound senior, credits the total team work ethic as a big reason for the 4-1 start.
“I can guarantee that not team has worked harder in preparation than we have,” said Walker. “We get better every week.”
