Hearing of Jack Shields’ departure from the University of Virginia’s football team, Fork Union Military Academy (VA) head coach John Shuman immediately thought of Cody Wallace .
“This gives Cody a shot in the arm,” Shuman said.
Wallace, a 6-4, 265-pound center/offensive guard prospect out of Moorestown High School (N.J.), signed with Virginia in February of 2009. After enrolling at UVa last summer, he left and enrolled at Fork Union Military Academy. Wallace, who re-signed with the Cavaliers this month, impressed Shuman with his on-field performances, whether at center or at offensive guard.
Shuman likens Wallace to a former UVa standout center.
