Richardson Checks Out Scrimmage

“It was great. I like how the practice went. There were a lot of Virginia fans there, which I didn’t really expect,” said Menchville (Newport News, VA) junior Clifton Richardson , who attended Virginia football’s scrimmage at Old Dominion on Saturday.

A standout athlete, the 6-1, 195-pound Richardson is being recruited by Virginia as a running back, the position he focused his attention on for most of the day.

“I was just looking at how the coaches were in tune with the players,” Richardson said. “I looked at the competition at running back and what I need to work on. I like a lot of the stuff the running backs do there. They need running backs to catch the ball out of the backfield.”
