Manchester (Midlothian, VA) offensive lineman Jake Goins claims he does not have a clear favorite. The 6-5, 280-pound junior, who continues to consider offers from Maryland, Virginia and Virginia Tech, is content to wait through the May Evaluation Period and into the summer before making a commitment.

“It varies,” Goins answered when asked if he had a favorite. “Some days I’m thinking about one thing and some days I’m thinking about something else. I don’t have a dominant favorite.”

Pressed about the two in-state offers, Goins, who has visited Virginia and Virginia Tech many times, said, “I like both schools. Both are welcoming and the players I talk to are cool about everything. The coaches are easy to talk to, too. It wasn’t like I went to one situation and didn’t feel the coaches wanted to talk to me.”

As mentioned above, the athletic offensive lineman is not close to a commitment at this point.
