Manchester (Midlothian, VA) offensive lineman prospect Jake Goins has added a new ACC offer and seems to be closing in on another. Maryland, Richmond, Virginia and Virginia Tech previously offered he 6-5, 285-pound junior.

“I got an offer from Duke and I think Clemson is close to offering,” said Goins, updating the latest on his recruiting front. “The Clemson coach is supposed to stop by our school this Friday. He said they probably would offer that day.”

Of the Duke offer, Goins said, “I don’t know a lot about Duke. I don’t know much about their coaches. I just don’t know a lot about them right now.”

Of Clemson, he said, “If I were to get an offer from Clemson, it would be pretty cool. I’d have to get down there and visit and check it out for myself.”
