UVa football has added another recruit to its 2011 recruiting class. Coach Mike London and company continue to stay local, this time reeling in H.D. Woodson (Washington, D.C.) tight end prospect Darius Redman , who becomes the Cavaliers third commitment in as many days.

Redman, a 6-4, 240-pound rising senior, confirmed the commitment via text message this morning. He’ll be available for an extensive interview later this evening, so stay tuned for more then.

Redman received an offer from Virginia last month and quickly followed up with an unofficial visit, which occurred almost two weeks ago. He had planned on deciding before the start of H.D. Woodson’s preseason practice, which starts on August 8, because he plans on graduating from high school in December and enrolling in college in January of 2011.

Redman feels as though he has the total package at tight end.
