2012 Lineman Eyes Big Season

Defensive lineman Nigel Williams enters his junior season as a two-year starter for the Benedictine Cadets (Richmond, VA). The 6’3″, 245-pound prospect earned VISAA Division 1 Second-Team All-State honors as a sophomore. After a successful summer in which he performed well at camps at Virginia and Virginia Tech, Williams is set for a big junior year.

“I think they both like Nigel, but I’m sure they’d like to see him play his junior season,” said Benedictine head coach Greg Lilly, whose standout prospect attended UVa’s Big Man Camp on June 19 and Virginia Tech’s one-day camp on July 10. “There are no offers yet, but they are interested.”

A three-sport athlete at Benedictine, Williams is also a good student who earned honor roll each of his first two years. Williams’ success on and off the field is a testament to the work he puts in.
