B.J. Cabbell enters his senior season as the Mike London era begins.
Off the field, B.J. Cabbell can best be described as a gentle giant. The 6’6″, 305-pound offensive guard moves with an easy grace that belies his large size, and he is quiet and well spoken. Cabbell’s on-field persona is completely different. Out on the turf, he becomes an explosive behemoth, a towering pillar of strength with quick feet to boot. He takes time after practice to get in a few extra reps with offensive line coach Ron Mattes alongside freshman lineman Morgan Moses. “A little extra work doesn’t hurt, not at all,” Cabbell said with a smile.
Playing in the trenches doesn’t allow many opportunities for individual accolades, and B.J. Cabbell has never been one to seek attention. However, he does strive to set an example for the entire team through his work ethic and attitude.
