Super Sophomore Has Two Offers

Only a freshman last year, Kendall Fuller saw action on the varsity level of one of Maryland’s top high school football programs in Good Counsel (Olney, MD). Though he wasn’t a full-time starter in 2009 (he is now in 2010), the 6-0, 175-pound defensive back/wide receiver showed enough to garner two FBS offers.

“In terms of offers, right now its Virginia and Virginia Tech,” said Vincent Fuller , Kendall’s father. The offers are verbal because Kendall can’t receive written offers until the August before his senior season. “Other schools have been by Good Counsel from what I hear. Other schools have talked about it, but nobody has come through like Virginia Tech and Virginia.”

UVa offered in May while Virginia Tech’s coaches extended an offer following their July 10 one-day camp.

“Kendall showed in his freshman year that he is extremely talented,” Fuller said. “His fundamental skills as a wide receiver, defensive back, and even as a quarterback are good. When schools have watched him, they could see his skill level is as good as any junior or senior he is out there on the field with.”
