First impressions

Virginia’s offense failed its first real test against an imposing defense. FSU’s defense slammed the door on any upset ideas early forcing the Cavaliers into seven straight punts and limiting the Hoos to a yard or less on four of their opening six drives. The Seminole secondary smothered Virginia’s receivers and the nation’s leading sack team harassed the quarterbacks all afternoon.
