Green Run (Virginia Beach, VA) star and University of Virginia recruit David Dean is a first-team all-Beach district selection at offensive guard and defensive lineman for the second consecutive season. The 6-2, 285-pound senior will be missed next season by Stallions head coach Shawn Wilson.

“I wish I had three or four more guys like him. That would’ve made the difference this year,” said Wilson, whose team went 5-5 in 2010.

“David did an excellent job. He had 65 tackles going into our last game, which is good for a d-lineman. I had him with 11 sacks. He rarely came out of the game. We couldn’t afford to take him out. We couldn’t have asked anything more from him.”

Dean is being recruited by Virginia to play defensive tackle, where he used his strength and athletic ability to be a consistent force on the high school level.
