Kameron Mack may not be one of Virginia’s most high profile recruits in the 2011 class, but he is important on several fronts. For one, Virginia gained his commitment over in-state rival Virginia Tech. Most importantly, though, he gives the Cavaliers a promising athlete with potential at a number of positions.
The 6-6, 200-pound Mack, a free safety and wide receiver in high school, quietly turned in a quality 2010 season for Eastern district co-champ Norcom (Portsmouth, VA). He was named first-team all-Tidewater for his efforts.
