Richardson At The Offense-Defense Bowl

Tuesday marked the first day of practice at the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl, and University of Virginia-bound standout Clifton Richardson made a splash with an 80-yard touchdown run. The 6-1, 210-pound senior, originally slotted as a wide receiver at the event, is taking advantage of the opportunity to showcase his skills at running back.

“It was originally a dive right, but the defense flowed the one direction and I cut it back,” said Richardson, who rushed for around 1,000 yards his senior season at Menchville High School (Newport News, VA). With too many receivers on the roster, he was moved to running back this week.
