Clover Hill Notes: 2013 Standout Emerges

It’s no secret that Clover Hill High School (Midlothian, VA) features one of the most highly sought after prospects in the 2012 class in 6-3, 210-pound athlete Joel Caleb . This offseason, another Clover Hill standout may be emerging as a top 2013 class prospect.

Holland Fisher is doing really well at combines this offseason,” Cavaliers head coach Sean O’Hare said. “He went to UVa [yesterday] on an unofficial. He’s a good linebacker for us. He’ll be going into his junior year for us. He is 6-2, 196 pounds. He’s right at 200. He’s running well.”

Then a freshman, Fisher started the 2009 season on the junior varsity. O’Hare watched the JV squad’s first three games, and he had seen enough. On the varsity, Fisher would start at Mike linebacker for the final six games of his freshman year. He followed that up with a breakout sophomore season.

“Last year, he earned first-team all-district and second-team all-metro. He set a school record in tackles,” O’Hare said. “He’s a hard worker. He played at 175 or 180 pounds last season, but he has really developed well this offseason.”
