Trips to Hampton and Alexandria have come and gone. Morning practices are done for the spring too. The Virginia football team already held its Spring Game and put away the official practice plans for another offseason semester. The only thing left? The updated depth chart, which UVa released on Monday. Let’s take a look at the offense following Mike London’s second spring with the Cavaliers.

Quarterback

One thing is clear from the first glance, the word “or” plays a prominent role on the 2011 post-spring depth chart. Especially at quarterback. Obviously, though, that’s not surprising. As Coach London indicated in mid-April, the quarterback race remains an open one with Ross Metheny and Michael Rocco sharing an “or” on the top line and Michael Strauss and David Watford sharing the “or” on the second line. All four, according to London, remain in the competition to become UVa’s starting quarterback entering the 2011 season.

Michael Rocco is one candidate to start at QB.
