PA Offensive Tackle Visits UVa

The University of Virginia football program was busy last week, hosting several top targets in the 2012 recruiting class. Fox Chapel Area High School (Pittsburgh, PA) offensive tackle Adam Bisnowaty was in Charlottesville last Thursday, making what was his first ever visit to UVa.

“Going into the visit, all I really knew about Virginia was the academics,” said the 6-6, 275-pound junior. UVa also welcomed Good Counsel (Olney, MD) wide receiver Stefon Diggs on Grounds last Thursday. Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA) defensive end/wide receiver Eli Harold visited Friday. “I just knew Coach Lazor from contacting each other. Going out there, I liked how big the campus was. It’s a small school, but you have space to move around. With the academics being so high, it was nice to see that you would get a lot of help. Virginia has a beautiful campus. I like all the coaches. Coach London I liked a lot. With his past experiences, I can tell the way he coaches is passionate. He is more of a life coach than a football coach. Coach Wachenheim, I spent the day mostly with him and got to know him well. He gave me insight into how he coached.”

Bisnowaty, who expects primary recruiter Bill Lazor to stop by Fox Chapel in the next week or two, is being recruited by the Cavaliers to play offensive tackle, the position he plays in high school.

“They said tackle, either left or right. That’s great with me,” Bisnowaty said. “I love playing tackle. Wherever a school needs me to play, I’ll play.”
