Bayside (Virginia Beach, VA) rising senior wide receiver/safety Anthony Cooper will announce his college choice on Wednesday, July 20, at a 2:00 p.m. press conference at his high school. The 6’0″, 180-pound Cooper, a first-team all-Tidewater selection at wide receiver in 2010, will decide among three finalists.

“Tennessee, Vanderbilt, UVa,” Cooper said when asked which schools made the final cut.

Cooper originally expressed an interest in taking all five official visits before committing. He has since had a change of heart and believes making an early commitment will be important for him to fully focus on his senior year.

“I don’t want to go through the season with a whole bunch of extra pressure,” Cooper said. “We’re a young team and I want to get my schoolwork done.”
