“Coach Parker, he made me a promise,” Wynn said. “If I played football, he promised I would get a scholarship.”

Wynn first played high school football as a sophomore in 2009, and it wasn’t long before he was hooked. Following a junior season in which Wynn totaled 105 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, and one defensive touchdown, Coach Parker’s prediction came true.

“Coach Parker came up to me in the school hallway and said, ‘I told you.’ Then he gave me a great big hug,” Wynn recalled of receiving his first college football scholarship offer.
