A dislocated wrist did not end Jamall Brown ‘s junior season entirely. The Hampton High School (Hampton, VA) product, who suffered the injury in the second game of the regular season, still managed to play safety for the Crabbers despite the injury. He was, however, sidelined from playing wide receiver, the position he likely would play on the college level. Without a junior season to showcase his talents on the offensive side of the ball, this summer’s camp circuit became all the more important in impressing college coaches.

Brown performed well in the camps he attended, but his best performance came in the one most important to him, the one-day at the University of Virginia. He impressed Coach London and earned an offer, and now he is part of Virginia’s 2012 recruiting class.
