5 Reasons To Hope

1. Experience. Virginia returns 17 starters across offense, defense, and special teams and the Hoos have proven producers all over the field. Those individual performers will need to come together for better team production in order to post more wins, but experience is a good place to start.

2. Offensive line leaders. Leading the way in the experience category is the offensive line where the Cavaliers have five players with collegiate starts. With a better-than-expected season a year ago from this unit, the potential for a great 2011 is obvious … and it likely will be needed with no experience at QB.

3. Talent infusion. While there is plenty of building left to do for Coach London, a group of incoming freshmen should bring some immediate talent to the field. A team in need of explosive playmakers expects the likes of Darius Jennings and Dominique Terrell to make an impact on offense, while players like Daquan Romero could contribute quickly on defense.
