Hackenberg Confident In 2011 Squad
Quarterback Christian Hackenberg helped Fork Union Prep (VA) to a VISAA Division 1 state championship title last season, the school’s first state title since 2002. Eyeing a repeat, the 6’4″, 200-pound Hackenberg, now a junior, feels good about the makeup of this year’s team as well as the strides he has made individually.
“I feel we have come together as a unit,” Hackenberg said. “There are not as many negatives egos. We have a bunch of talent. Our line is strong. We’re looking pretty good.”
Individually, “My footwork has come a long way. My decision making as well as I’ve learned how to read defenses,” Hackenberg said. “I’ve been watching film, attending camps, and learning more.”
